So WeTakeIt is not a hauling company?
Correct. WeTakeIt is a referral service. We do not own trucks, employ crews, set prices, or perform hauling. We vet independent local contractors and connect them with customers who need work done. The contractor quotes you, contracts with you, and bills you.
What does it cost me to use WeTakeIt?
Nothing. Submitting a request and getting connected with contractors is free. Partner contractors pay us a flat monthly subscription for access to requests, which is why no commission is added to your job.
Who do I pay?
The contractor, directly, at the price the two of you agree. WeTakeIt does not collect payment for hauling work and does not hold your money.
How do you vet contractors?
Before a contractor can receive requests we verify current commercial auto insurance and general liability coverage, check the driver licence and recent driving record, and confirm the business is real and reachable. Coverage is re-checked when policies renew.
What if something goes wrong on my job?
Call us. Because the contract is between you and the contractor, resolution runs through them and their insurance — but we want to hear about it, and repeated problems get a contractor removed from the network.
Why not just call a hauler directly?
You can, and sometimes that is faster. The value here is that one request reaches several vetted, insured contractors at once instead of you calling six numbers and leaving voicemails, and that we have already checked their coverage.
Do you do local moving?
