Frequently asked questions
How the service works, what it costs you, and where our line is. If your question is not here, call us.
How do I get a quote?
Fill out the request form with what you need hauled, where it is, and when you want it gone. It takes about a minute and you do not need an account. We pass the details to insured hauling contractors near you, and the ones who want the job contact you directly with their price.
What does it cost me to use WeTakeIt?
Nothing. There is no fee, no commission, no booking charge and no markup for customers. You pay the contractor directly, at the price they quote you. We are paid separately by contractors, who subscribe for a flat monthly fee to receive requests in their area — so the fee never changes based on the size or value of your job.
Who actually shows up and does the work?
An independent local hauling contractor — not a WeTakeIt employee. We do not own trucks or employ crews. We are a referral service that connects you with contractors who do this work for a living. Your agreement, and your payment, is directly with that contractor.
Why don't you just tell me the price on the website?
Because we would be guessing, and we are not the ones doing the job. Volume, access, stairs, weight and disposal fees all move the number, and the contractor who is going to load it is the one who can price it honestly. Getting two or three real quotes from real contractors beats one made-up number from a website.
How fast will someone contact me?
Most requests reach contractors within minutes of being submitted. During business hours you can typically expect to hear from someone the same day, and often within the hour. Same-day and next-day work is common for junk removal and hauling. If it is urgent, call us instead of using the form.
What areas do you serve?
We cover the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex — 13 cities including Fort Worth, Arlington, Lake Worth, Saginaw, Azle, White Settlement and the surrounding communities. We are a Texas-only, local service. We do not handle anything crossing a state line.
What will you take away?
Furniture, mattresses, appliances, electronics, garage and attic clutter, yard and storm debris, construction and remodel debris, hot tubs, playsets, and full property cleanouts. If two people and a truck can safely load it and a transfer station will accept it, it is usually fair game.
What won't you take?
Hazardous and regulated materials — paint, solvents, oil, fuel, chemicals, propane tanks, asbestos, medical or biohazard waste, and tyres in some counties. Those require licensed specialist disposal. Contractors will tell you if something on your list needs a different provider.
Do you do local moving?
No. Moving the contents of a home for pay in Texas requires a TxDMV motor carrier licence, and we do not offer or refer household goods moves. We can absolutely haul individual items — a couch, a fridge, a Marketplace pickup, a jobsite load — but we do not relocate households.
Are the contractors insured and vetted?
Before a contractor can receive requests we collect their business details and proof of current liability insurance, and we check that they hold whatever registration applies to the work they accept. We remove contractors who let documentation lapse or who generate substantiated complaints. That said, they are independent businesses — we always recommend confirming coverage and scope with your contractor before work starts.
Do you collect my payment?
No. You pay the contractor directly, using whatever method they accept. WeTakeIt does not process, hold or collect payment for hauling work, and we never take a cut of what you pay.
What if something goes wrong with the job?
Contact us and we will help. Because the work contract is between you and the contractor, claims about damage, pricing or a no-show are resolved with that contractor — but we track complaints seriously and remove contractors who earn them. Call (817) 373-5563 or email support@wetakerit.com and we will give you the contractor's details and follow up on our side.
I own trucks — how do I get work through you?
See our Partners page. You pay a flat monthly subscription for access to requests in your service area, you keep one hundred percent of every job you win, and we never take a commission. You will need current liability insurance and the registrations applicable to the work you accept.
How is my information used?
The job details you submit — your name, phone, email, job address and description — are shared with contractors in your area so they can contact you about that job. That is the whole point of the service. Contractors may not resell your details or market unrelated products to you. We do not sell your information. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
