Dallas–Fort Worth

Hauling and same-day delivery

One item or a full truckload. Store pickups, jobsite runs, marketplace buys and debris hauls — handled by insured local contractors who quote you directly.

The Detail

How this actually works

Hauling is the job nobody plans for. You bought a dresser on Marketplace and it will not fit in the car. The store's delivery slot is eleven days out. The crew needs three pallets of tile at the jobsite before eight in the morning. All of those are a truck-and-two-hands problem, not a moving-company problem.

Pricing for a haul is mostly distance plus time plus how many people it takes to lift the thing. A single appliance across town is a small job. Four stops with a loaded trailer is a different job. The two details that change a quote most are stairs and whether the item needs to be uncrated or assembled.

One thing worth being clear about: this is single-item and freight-style hauling, not household goods moving. If you are relocating the contents of a home, that requires a TxDMV motor carrier licence in Texas and we do not offer or refer it.

What we take

  • Same-day store, warehouse and will-call pickups
  • Single furniture or appliance delivery
  • Marketplace, auction and estate-sale pickups
  • Jobsite material runs — lumber, tile, drywall, pallets
  • Dirt, gravel, mulch and landscape material
  • Trailer and equipment repositioning
  • Load-and-unload labor if you already have the truck
  • Donation and dump runs

What we cannot take

  • Household goods moves and home relocations
  • Hazardous materials in placardable quantities
  • Loads requiring a vehicle at or above 26,001 lbs GVWR
  • Anything crossing a state line
  • Live animals, refrigerated freight and firearms

A local contractor contacts you

We pass your request to insured, vetted hauling contractors near you. One reaches out with their price and the times they have open.

3

You agree on price and they haul it

You deal directly with the contractor and pay them directly. No middleman markup, and no charge from WeTakeIt for connecting you.

FAQ

Common questions

What is the difference between this and a moving company?

A moving company transports the contents of a household, which in Texas requires TxDMV motor carrier registration. We handle single items, freight-style hauls, jobsite runs and debris — and we do not offer or refer household goods moves.

Can someone pick up an item I already bought?

Yes. That is one of the most common requests. Provide the pickup address, the store or seller's contact, any order or will-call number, and the delivery address when you send your request.

Do contractors help carry the item inside?

Most will, including up stairs, but say so up front — stairs and tight doorways change the time and the number of people needed, and therefore the price.

How is a haul priced?

Typically distance, time on site, and the number of people required. The independent contractor sets that price and bills you directly. WeTakeIt does not quote or collect payment for hauls.

Can I book a recurring haul for my business?

Yes. Commercial and property-management accounts are common — regular dumpster overflow runs, turnover debris, and weekly jobsite pickups. Reach out through our commercial accounts page.

How fast can it happen?

Same-day is realistic for most of Dallas–Fort Worth if you send the request in the morning. Time-critical jobsite deliveries are best scheduled a day ahead.
